„In visual perception a color is almost never seen as it really is – as it physically is. This fact makes color the most relative medium in art.“ – Josef Albers
The beauty of the visual experience is the visceral reaction that it engenders in the watcher. This in no small part comes from the instinctive emotional reaction that colors provoke – blue is cold, red is angry, yellow is warm. A good colorist is able to subtly tap into these psychologies to promote the feel and tone of a visual creative piece.
Tobi, Lead Colorist at CC Media, has a natural affinity to color and the effects it has on film and the viewer of the film and is also meticulous in his detail, working frame-by-frame to create a uniform finished product.
His portfolio includes: Seed, Maybaum Film and Module+ and the films for Bucherer (EDI Prize Winner, directed and shot by Damien Krisl).
